All 4 year olds are encouraged to learn a wide variety of self help skills, take responsibility for all of their belongings, demonstrate respect for themselves, others and the living environment, recognise and write their own name, recognise and write the letters of the alphabet, participate in mat and group times, engage in a variety of numeracy and literacy experiences, share ideas and thoughts in a group, and most importantly have a love of learning.

My child bites, how will the centre deal with this?
The centre uses a positive behavioural management approach with all children. The children are given positive reinforcement for the desired behaviours and the older children are empowered to be positive role models. Children who vent their frustrations on others are reminded to use their words and to use gentle touching.
